Olean General Hospital has announced the appointment of Danielle Kwakye-Berko, MD, internal medicine, to its medical staff and the Foothills Medical Group.
Dr. Kwakye-Berko has more than 15 years of experience as a primary care physician. Most recently, she cared for patients at WNY Medical, PC in Buffalo. She is familiar with the region, having practiced in Olean, Salamanca and Wellsville for nine years before moving to Buffalo in 2011.
Dr. Kwakye-Berko is currently accepting new patients, 16 years of age and older, at the Holiday Park Health Center, 2666 W. State St., Olean, beginning Sept. 11. Appointments can be made by calling 701-1700.
Dr. Kwakye-Berko is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is board eligible in geriatric medicine. She earned a medical degree at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Syracuse and completed a residency at Yale/Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Conn., and Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. Dr. Kwakye-Berko also completed a geriatric fellowship at Duke University Medical Center/VAMC in Durham, N.C.
